There are still 25 people alive for places in the pool. I think that may be trimmed with the last
game of the day: the Sugar Bowl.
If Alabama wins:
Brent S. #1 is eliminated from 2nd place contention.
CBS Hinnen is eliminated from 1st & 2nd place contention.
|
Jay H. #2 is eliminated from 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
contention.
Jim W. is eliminated from 3rd place contention.
|
Kevin W. is eliminated from 1st, 2nd & 3rd place contention.
|
Mike W. is eliminated from 1st & 2nd place contention.
|
If Ohio State wins:
CBS Fornelli is eliminated from 1st & 2nd place contention.
|
||
Damien R. #1 is eliminated from 1st place contention.
Hutch H. #1 is eliminated from 2nd place contention.
Michelle L. #2 is eliminated from 3rd place contention.
|
||
Mike W. is eliminated from 1st place contention.
Pete J. #1 is eliminated from 3rd place contention.
|
||
Ryan G. is eliminated from 2nd & 3rd place contention.

Some explanation needs to be said for Mike W. appearing to
be eliminated from 1st place regardless of the outcome. The reason for this is because I allowed you
to pick a winner of the national championship game this is different from the
winner of the semi-final games. In Mike
W.'s case, he chose Ohio State to win the Sugar Bowl for 1 point, but had
Alabama winning the National Championship for 30 points. One way or another, one of those picks will
be incorrect after tonight, dropping him from 1st place contention.
I also thought it was nice to see at least one of the CBS
"Experts" will be out after tonight as well. It would be especially sweet if it was CBS
Hinnen, since he has been in the lead for a lot of this pool.
Good Luck!!!!
