Good evening again. I
watched about 1 minute of the Poinsettia Bowl tonight. I have to say that a lot of these games are
not really all that interesting. In
years past, I would spend an inordinate amount of time watching game after
game, only to be pretty disappointed. At
least this year, I have managed to watch fewer games. I think the game I watched the most of so far
was the Celebration Bowl, which was between two teams where I couldn't even
tell you the mascot of either team.
Anyway, BYU beat Wyoming tonight, so all 3 of our undefeated
sheets are still undefeated. Favorites
improve to 6-3 so far this bowl season.
I think that's about the right amount of upsets. If you had told me at the beginning of the
bowl season that 3 of the first 9 games would be upsets, I probably would have
taken that.
Anyway, here are the points standings:

Tomorrow's game doesn't promise to change much of the
standings. The Potato Bowl is the game
with the 6th most points wagered on it.
That pretty much means that everyone thinks one team is going to mop the
floor with the other team. Below are the
particulars:
Vegas line: Colorado
State -13.5
Median Pick: Colorado
State for 32.5
Picks:
Colorado State: 50 (average points: 30.64)
Idaho: 6 (average points: 22.67)
I have to admit that I was pretty surprised by the size of
the Idaho points given the point spread.
At least 3 of the 6 people that took Idaho have them in their top 10,
including Dorthea R. who took them for 39.
On the flip side, 2/3 of the people that took Colorado State have them
in their top 10. Maybe not surprisingly,
the only person to have this as their max game is Freitag B. My guess is that means there won't be any
change at the top of the standings even if there is a massive upset.
Enjoy if you happen to watch the game. I might catch some of it, especially if I
leave work early tomorrow (which seems like a terrific idea).
Good Luck!!!!!!
