After Texas Bowl

Look at that.  I said I wanted some upsets, and 2 of them came through today.  Baylor upset North Carolina and Nevada upset Colorado State.  The Nevada upset was counts as the 4th biggest upset of the Bowl season so far (Georgia Southern, Nebraska, Akron).

Only 4 people managed to go 4/4 today including both Marc R. entries.  That shot him way up in the standings.  This is probably a good time to remind people of the rule that you can't win both payouts.  If Marc (or anyone) wins both 1st and 2nd, they will get 1st place prize money, but 2nd would go to the 3rd place finisher.  That's only fair, since the way this pool is set up, it could be easy to corner the market, so to speak.

No one managed to go 0/4, which is also good news.  The average number of games picked correctly today was 2.39.  I think that LSU had a big hand in that, since almost everyone won big points on them.  Becky H. was the top point getter today with 104 points.  The average amount of points won today was 60.14, and the average amount lost was -29.27 for a net of 30.86.

I have the spreadsheet all prepared for when I can figure out odds of winning.  I will be able to provide that after tomorrow's games.  In the mean time, here are the standings by points:
