It looks like there are some pretty clear favorites at the
top. If you picked Villanova or
Virginia, I hope you do well in the rest of the bracket, because you are going
to have a lot of competition.

You really have to drill down a ways before you get to a
Championship game that doesn't feature either Villanova or Virginia. They were very popular teams this year.
Speaking of which, here's the breakdown of the South
Regional winners:
Virginia
106
Cincinnati
41
Arizona

This is largely to form, with the exception of Arizona outperforming
Tennessee. No love for Nevada, I
guess. Then again, the last time anyone
saw them, they were getting their heads handed to them by San Diego State.
Here's the West region:
North Carolina
65
Michigan
58
Xavier
51

There's always one wacky bracket (remember South Carolina
last year, or Syracuse the year before as a 10 seed?). This looks like it might be the wacky
bracket. Xavier is the 1 seed, but they
don't seem particularly dominant. This
looks also like everyone took someone in the top 4. Again, no love for the 7 seed (Texas
A&M). I guess 7s don't make the
Final 4 all that often, but you might think someone would take a shot.
Here's the East bracket:
Villanova
137
Purdue
36
West Virginia
12
Texas Tech

This is the most lopsided of the 4 brackets. Everyone seems to love Villanova. There's a little love for Purdue, but by far, the most popular team is
Villanova.
Here's the Midwest bracket:
Michigan State
75
Kansas
63
Duke
60
NC State
6

Rhode Island

Clemson

Oklahoma

Auburn

This bracket looks a lot like a 3-horse race. There's a little surprising amount of NC
State picks here, but otherwise, it's all MSU, Kansas or Duke.
