NCAA - 4 games in

Well, that was unexpected.  I figured Gonzaga would cruise to an easy victory over UNC-Greensboro, but as NC Greensboro kept tossing in circus shot after circus shot, I got to be a little worried that maybe Gonzaga could lose.  They actually WERE losing with less than 2 minutes to go.  That put me in a bit of a quandary as I would've liked to have seen an upset, but my wife picked them to win it all, so she would've been disappointed.   Even in the last seconds, a three pointed rimmed out that would have tied the game.  If you are a Zags fan, you've gotta hope that this scare gets them to play better as the tournament goes on.  In the back of my mind, I remember one season when Gonzaga was a #1 seed, and I think they lost to Wichita State in the second round.  In that tournament, Gonzaga struggled in the first round game only to lose in the 2nd.  We will see if that happens this year to this team.

Kansas slowly pulled away from Penn, as I was expecting.  I got my hopes up that maybe Penn cold pull the miracle upset, but it didn't work out.  I guess playing in their home state is quite an advantage.  Being more talented is quite an advantage as well.

We have a 115-way tie for first, as most people got 2 points in the last set of games.  Fun fact, the 2 people that picked Penn to win a first round game also picked them to make the Sweet 16.  Not really good news for them, but a fun fact none the less.

This is one of those infamous 5/12 games that everyone likes to pick as an upset special.  I think the Jackrabbits could pull it off.  I have no particular love for the Buckeyes, and we haven't had an upset yet, so maybe we can get one here.

Seton Hall vs NC State

Looks like the group decided to take the 9 seed in the 8/9 game.  This game should be pretty close based on the line.  I honestly can't say I know anything about either team.  They both seemed like middle of the pack large-conference teams.  Honestly, I can always do without these types of teams.  I'd rather see St. Mary's or Middle Tennessee State than either of these teams, but whatever.  We get what we get.

Looks like Duke is running away with the game against Iona, but the Loyola / Miami game is living up to the hype.  Let's hope for our first upset of the day.
