Rooting interest into

Everyone,

I did this a few years ago, but didn’t have time to do it last year.  For every bracket that can still win the pool, find your name in the data in the following posts and it will tell you the breakdown of scenarios you need to still win this pool.  It make it so you know exactly who you need to root for in the next round and beyond.  All of these kind of go out the window as soon as one game is over, but you can get a general idea of who you need to root for

Also, after I was well into calculating these things, I noticed at least two things I messed up.  The first is if you need Texas Tech to win in the next round, instead of saying "Texas Tech wins in 58% of scenarios", it will say the inverse, "Purdue wins in 42% of scenarios.  I messed up a variable name and didn't catch it until late.  The data is correct, it just may be sorted a little strangely.  The reason this happens is because the TT variable was reading as zero, and then was comparing it to the Purdue percentage to determine which was bigger to generate the text.  As a result, if yours says, "It doesn't matter to you who wins between TT and Purdue", that really means that Texas Tech MUST win, since both Purdue = 0% and TT = 0% (because of my bad programming - It should be 100%).  That may be a little in the weeds, but I wanted it out there for full transparency.

Second, if the Villanova / West Virginia game doesn't mean anything to you (your odds of winning the pool are the same regardless of who wins, the text say something like "It does matter who wins between Villanova and Villanova".  Obviously one of those should be West Virginia.  I screwed up a find and replace function.  I thought I caught everything there, but I guess not.

The picks are in alphabetical order.

Thanks and good luck!!!!
