March Madness - 12 games in Day 2

How much in the bag was the VCU / Stephen F Austin game?  I had already written in VCU in on my bracket and I was about to assign some points, when my brother told me that Stephen F Austin pulled within 1 and I should hold off on doing any updating.  If anyone missed the game, what a game!!!  VCU committed a foul on 3-point shot at the last second of the game, and Stephen F Austin made the free throw to force OT.  They went on to win it after that, causing another upset.  I like upsets, so I was particularly happy about that one.  Go Lumberjacks!!!!

Practically everyone had Wichita State to win in this group of games, and they looked every bit the #1 seed they are.  North Carolina needed a bit of a miracle to pull out a victory over Providence and Memphis won in a nail biter over George Washington, so only one true upset in the bunch, although a lot of close games.

There's been at least one upset in each set of 4 games today.  As of right now, it looks like Coastal Carolina may be that team.  They have been lighting up Virginia so far.  I'm in awe, and not just of the snazzy teal uniforms.  They are knocking everything down against the best defense in the country.  Maybe my wife was prescient when she couldn't talk herself into taking Virginia because "They don't score enough".  Seems like a good call right now.

Also, we had the game on mute so we couldn't figure out why Kentucky was shooting free throws before the tip off of the game against Kansas State.  I guess there is some rule that says you can't dunk in the warm-ups and someone on Kansas State did.  Of all the dumb rules I've ever heard of, that has to be right up there.  I've never seen that in my life.  That should never be called.  Just dumb...
