After the Pinstripe Bowl

 Depending of what metric you use, the Pinstripe Bowl was either and upset or it wasn’t.  The initial line for the game (and probably the line when everyone submitted picks) was for Miami, but by the time of kickoff, Rutgers was favored slightly.

Dennis R. still has a stranglehold on the top of the probabilities, although slightly less so than last time, having lost 5 points with Miami.  The revelation after this game is the emergence of Brian K.  as the second most likely person to win something.  He’s been lurking around the top 10 for most of the pool, but I haven’t called him out until now.  36 points on Rutgers when you are already near the top really helps.

My Dad and brother dodged 2 potential bullets already today, and they stay alive into game 3 for the day.

We only had 2 more people totally eliminated as a result of Miami losing, bringing us to 18 in total.  Everyone else is still alive for something.

 You can always tell who the underdog really is in the pool based on the number of eliminations associated with that team if they win.  In this case, it’s pretty obvious that NC State is the underdog in this game.  If Kansas State wins, that means the resident “expert” on college football, Sports Illustrated, will be out.  That just proves that no one knows anything.  I feel like they could literally pay any of us to make picks on TV or in print, and we’d be just as good.
