NCAA Day 1 - First appearance of the prevent offense edition

It seems like each subsequent set of games has even bigger and bigger upsets.  This set of two took us a little longer since UALR had to go into double overtime in order to beat Purdue.  But beat Purdue they did.  I was looking at Nate Silver's game probability calculator, and at one point in the second half, Purdue had a 99% chance of winning the game.  I think they had something like a 14 point lead with 5 minutes to go.  Then...  they just stopped playing on the offensive end.  I don't understand that.  I saw that time and time again last year.  Teams would get double digit leads in the second half and then decide they can just coast to a victory.  Does that ever work?  I think last year I called it the prevent offense.

It crippled a lot of brackets.  Someone finally lost their champion, which is pretty devastating at this point.  Ouch....  5 people had Purdue in the Final 4.  They were also a popular pick to beat Iowa State to get to the Sweet 16.  So much for that.

In the other game, Kansas scored over 100 points.  Yikes.....

As you may guess, there aren't many people that went 8/8 so far.  As a matter of fact, only one person did.  Congratulations to Jim D. #3.  Going 8/8 with all that has gone on so far is pretty tough.  The average was 5.45, which seems a little low, but this has been a crazy year.
