It may not seem like it, but every game today was won by the
team wearing the white uniforms of the better seeded team. That means that the better seeded team in the
Sweet 16 went 8/8. No upsets. So, if you happened to pick mostly chalk,
with a handful of upsets, you are probably doing all right. All 4 #1 seeds are still alive.
We are technically at the midway point of the
tournament. 50% of all the points have
been doled out. There are 15 people that
can still get all the remaining points.
The amazing thing is that Howard S. #1, Pete J. #4 and Stefan K. can't
win, despite having 96 points still available.
They are alive for other payouts, but not 1st.
I was a bit surprised to see that one person actually went
4/4 today. Jonathan O., who last year
had a bit of a whack-a-doo bracket that kept him alive for a longer time than I
thought he would. He picked some whacky
things this year as well. The difference
is that those things are actually happening.

difference, but the Iowa State loss and the Indiana losses knocked more than a
few people out of the pool. Only 76
people are still alive to win any places, which is no small amount given that

that this only encompasses the single game eliminations. A combination of losses could also knock you
out when no single game would. I'm
really hoping for both #2 seeds to win tomorrow, as they are both elimination
games for me. If I can't have that, I am
hoping that at least Villanova wins to knock out the Gutless brackets once and
for all.
