NCAA - Day 2 screw the gutless bracket edition

I don't know if people will agree, but by the seeds Hawaii over California is the biggest upset of the tournament so far.  That may be eclipsed in the next hour as Michigan State hasn't lead for even a second in their game with Middle Tennessee.  Credit to MTSU.  They are doing everything they need to do to pull off a huge upset. 

VCU also scored an "Upset" of Oregon State.  This is not good for a lot of brackets.  Only 20 brackets went 2/2 over the last 2 games.  79 people went 0/2.  Not many people had Oregon State going really far, but at least 7 people had Cal in the Final 4.  Ouch....

Since they are playing this game in Oklahoma City, I'm not giving CS Bakersfield much of a chance.  That's as close to a home game as the NCAA will allow.  I remember a while back, they let UConn play its first round games in Hartford, even though they played something like 10 games there during the season.  They tried to justify it by saying that they didn't play more than 1/2 their home games there, so it wasn't technically their "home court".  That didn't go over too well.  That's why this is probably as close to a home game as you will ever see again.

Maryland / South Dakota State

It's everyone's favorite 12/5 matchup.  So far 12s are 2-1, although Indiana looked pretty good as a #5.  Maryland, at one point was the #1 ranked team in the country.  It would be quite a fall if they went from that high to losing in the first round, but 12/5!!!!!  It always happens!!!!  Good times!!!
