NCAA DAy 2 - 2 Games in

The first two games of the day were pretty uneventful.  Somehow Syracuse managed to outrebound Dayton almost 2-1, which lead to a pretty huge lead.  Villanova also just steamrolled NC Asheville.  The average amount of points won so far today is 1.41.  Only 89 people got the full 2 points, while only one person (Ray W. #1) wound up with nothing.  The Syracuse win was an upset by the seeds, so another knock on the gutless brackets.

I am watching the Hawaii game, and I didn't realize that Cal was such a team in turmoil.  They lost a player to a broken hand, another guy is out sick and their players that everyone thinks are bolting for the NBA after the season are in foul trouble.  That could spell good thing for the Rainbow Warriors.  Woo Hoo!!!  In the other game, another "upset" is brewing with VCU.  Awesome.....

I thought about wearing my MTSU T-shirt today, but I can't do that in good conscious.  I have too many friends with very strong ties to Michigan State to do that.  I have nothing against MTSU, but I hope they get crushed in this game.  Michigan has gone through enough as a state.  They need something to cheer for.  Go Spartans!

This looks like a classic 7/10 matchup.  Iowa was ranked in the top 5 at one point this season, and has faded pretty far at the end of the season.  That usually spells disaster for the tournament, but it's not like Temple was tearing things up at the end of the season either.  I'm hoping for a close game.  I don't really care who wins here.  I just hope it's a good game so I can watch something interesting while the MSU 40-minute layup line is on the other TV.
