NCAA Day 3 - Return to seeding form

Unfortunately for those of us that like to see upsets, we didn't get a chance in the first 2 games.  The underdogs came close in the second half of both games, but the favorite won in the end in both.  That's particularly more disappointing, since the teams that won were supposed to win by the seeds.  There's still a lot more games to go and a lot more upset chances.  We'll get some.  I feel it....

Despite the seeds winning the first games, only 68 people got all 4 points.  37 people got no points (although some of those people had Baylor or Arizona winning one of the games).  We have a new leader in total points after Dan Du. #1 took one on the chin with Wichita State.  The new leader is Harrell R. #3.  We have a three way tie for the lead in net points with Jackson I., Danny H. and Irene H. #1 (14 points).

The next game up on the schedule is actually the only one today that doesn't not feature an upset winner from the first round.  That should make it a pretty good match up.

Kentucky / Indiana:

Kentucky: 152

The amazing number for me is that zero in the "other" category.  A lot of people had upsets of Indiana or Kentucky in the 1st rounds, but not a single person thought that one of the upsets could knock off both Kentucky and Indiana.  I guess that is attributable to how tough this section of the bracket is.

The next game after that is:

Iowa State / UALR:

More than half the field is a spectator for this one, as they can't get any points.  For those people, I suggest backing UALR, since you don't want to lose 2 points to 84 brackets if you don't have to.  We'll see.  UALR had a pretty emotional win on Thursday.  It might be a lot to ask for them to knock off Iowa State also.  I hope they do since I had Purdue winning this game.  Yikes.
