So, I was half right. Alabama looked bad, but just how bad may have been more of a product of losing on of their best players to injury early in the game. Texas looked pretty good. I still contend that neither of them is that good overall, but at least one of them one, so credit to Texas.
With that game over, the entire first round has been played
in the East region. No one went 8/8, but
outside of Kentucky, it was really all chalk.
There were a lot of close games, but the only favorite to actually lose
was Kentucky. Strange. The average person got 5.25 points in the
first round in that region. We’ll see
hoe that compares to other regions as they finish, but my guess is that in the
first round only, the East will not look that strange. Now, as the rounds advance, it will look a
lot worse, but we will get there.
