14 straight games of chalk edition

6 games, 6 straight higher seeds winning.  60 people going 6/6 so far today.  That sucks.  I want to reward people for nailing upsets.  If upsets don't happen the gutless brackets win and the world is a worse place for it.  At least my Anteaters are hanging tough with Louisville.

I really thought Belmont had a shot at beating Virginia.  They were only down 2 with less than 5 minutes to go.  That's usually a recipe for an upset, but Virginia pulled away.  Maybe this will be one of those years where the upsets mostly happen in the later rounds.  I keep looking for a silver lining to all this.  There's still some hope.  Valpo and Irvine seems capable.  Someone just win!!!!

We have a new leader.  Peter J. #6 had Indiana, so he fell a little back to the field.  John M. #1 is our new leader, mostly because of tie breakers.  The reason he is the leader is because he's only lost one Sweet 16 (SMU).  All the other people with 19 right so far have more advanced losses.  Speaking of advanced losses, we are down to 2 brackets that haven't lost a Sweet 16 team.  Brandon H. finally lost a Sweet 16 (Buffalo).  He is actually one of the biggest tumblers down the standings so far today (down 73 spots from 93rd to 166th).

It also looks like the standings are bunching up a little at the top.  There's currently a 12-way tie for 7th.  Unfortunately for those people, there's no money for 7th, so you still have some work to do.   You know what would separate the standings a little?  A huge upset.  We can all hope.
