The Better Luck Next Year, Aztecs edition

I'd love to say that SDSU put up a good fight against Duke, but really it looked pretty bad.  I said they'd need 65 points to win, and if they could've gotten near there, they had a chance.  As it turned out, SDSU didn't even score 50 points, and they got blown out.  They did cut it to 7 in the second half, but they never threatened at all after that.  It was a good run for the Aztecs.  Maybe next year.....

Not a ton of change at the top of the standings, as most people had Duke.  There were some die hards that had SDSU going pretty far, and they took a huge tumble down the net point standings, but it was pretty much status quo so far in the standings.

Only 55 people are 2/2 so far today.  I figured that number would be higher than the zero that had a perfect day yesterday because all the favorites won (pretty much) on Friday.  Truth be told, I'm not so sure that logic checks out....  Maybe there will be more upsets today because better teams are playing.  It's possible.  We are batting .500 with the upsets so far.  Let's see if we can't keep it rolling.

The next game is Kansas / Wichita State:  A battle for Sunflower State supremacy.  This one seems ripe for an upset, despite the 7/2 seedings.

This seems like the value bet of all value bets.  The picks should be WAY closer than they are given the Vegas line.  These two teams look pretty evenly watched and the picks are not lined up that way at all.

The next game after that is another from the wacky East Bracket.

Oklahoma: 154

Dayton: 20

Other: 32

Vegas Line: Oklahoma -4.5

This is another great value pick.  If you have Dayton and they wind up winning, you are crushing the field.  Oklahoma is the highest seed remaining in the East, and we've seen where that gets you over the last day.
