NCAA Day 1 - LAst 4 games pick distributions

All right.  It looks like these 4 games are going to be good in the second half, so I'm going to go ahead and give the final pick distributions for the last 4 games.

Florida State vs. Florida Gulf Coast
Florida State: 173
Florida Gulf Coast: 51
Vegas Line: Florida State by 12.

As someone that transcribed all the picks from the various entries into a spreadsheet, I can tell you that this was my least favorite game of the entire first round.  There is an autofill function in Excel that fills in if the data once you enter the first letter if there is no other data in that column that starts with that letter.  In this case, I had to enter the entire name of the school.  What a pain....  People still like FGCU, probably based on their run a few years ago.  I don't think they're the same team, but an upset would be fun to see.

Wisconsin vs Virginia Tech

Wisconsin: 165
Virginia Tech: 60
Vegas Line: Wisconsin by 5.5

Pretty lopsided for an 8/9 game.  If you remember, the other 8/9 game was essentially a toss up.  I think this one is like this because Wisconsin seems underseeded as an 8.  I think when they released the mid-seasons seeding, Wisconsin was a 4.  I know they faded down the stretch, but 8?  That seems like a lot to me.

Arizona vs North Dakota
Arizona: 225
North Dakota: 0
Vegas Line: Arizona by 17.5

Wow, a shutout!!!  I think this is the only one in the whole tournament.  Everyone loves Arizona, I guess.  I'll pull for North Dakota.  That would be a fun thing to see happen.

Iowa State vs Nevada
Iowa State: 177
Nevada: 48
Vegas Line: Iowa State by 6

This is essentially the same line as the 8/9 Wisconsin game, which tells you that maybe the seeding was a little off.  I normally like the Mountain West teams in this tournament.  Then again, the Mountain West team is usually San Diego State, so I am pretty biased.  Iowa State has a pretty awful track record in this tournament, but I invariably take them to go far every year.  If I only knew how to quit you, Iowa State Cyclones.....  I'd probably fare much better in these pools.

Good luck to everyone.  I'll be back with standings in a bit.....
